Haskell women’s hoops loses heartbreaker

? Haskell Indian Nations University’s women’s basketball team blew a 10-point halftime lead in a 54-53 loss Saturday to Dallas Christian at Rhema Bible College.

The Fightin’ Indians jumped to a 28-18 lead at the break. But Dallas Christian shot 46.2 percent from the field in the second half and snuck away with the victory.

Samantha Pete led Haskell (1-4) with 19 points and six rebounds. Melinda Adams had 13 points, and Amber Tecumseh added 10 points, six rebounds and three steals. Jamie Federick added seven rebounds and four assists for the Indians.
