Kansas University's women's basketball team has added a third player to this year's recruiting class.
Sophronia Sallard, a 5-foot-10 small forward from Syracuse, N.Y., chose Bonnie Henrickson's program over Kentucky, Syracuse, Alabama-Birminghan and Virginia. She signed her national letter of intent Friday.
"She can knock down mid-range and outside shots, create for herself and finish at the basket," Henrickson said. "Her play-making skills and passing skills are impressive."
Sallard was rated as the 25th-best college prospect in the nation by Blue Star recruiting service after averaging 17 points and nine rebounds a game for Nottingham High.
