University Bridge Club announces the winner of its Nov. 6 meeting. Hosts were Jean Khatib, Gladys Dight and Alice Akin.

Blue winners were Virginia Williams, first; George Bocquin, second; Paul Jordan, third; Alice Akins, fourth; and Jean Golden, fifth.

Pink winners were Carol Smith, first; Edna Galle, second; Jane Golden, third; Willie Stoltenberg, fourth; and Wanda Kring, fifth.

Playing North-South, Don Daugherty and Harry Talley claimed first place in A and B. Judy Bevan and John Gilbert placed second in A and B and first in C. Dick Moore and Bobbie McCorkle were second in B.

Sitting East West, Jeff Nash and Larry Brock finished first in A. Frances Vogel and Alice Leitch were second in A and first in B. Jo Andersen and Ann Thompson were first in C.

The Lawrence Duplicate Bridge Club played host to an American Contract Bridge League sanctioned sectional tourney Monday. Seven tables participated in a stratified game that followed a Mitchell movement. Virginia Seaver directed the play.

Playing the North-South cards, Larry Bodle and Kent McCullough claimed first place in A and B. Harriett Olson, earning her regional master ranking, and Jerry Sloan placed second in A and B. Chris Lane and Shirley Reese took third in A and B. Bob Anderson and Anne Thompson were first in C.

Playing the East-West cards, Sally Taylor and Shirley Vaughn took first place in A and B. Dave Piro and Donna Johnson were second in A. Virginia Seaver and Paul Heitzman placed third in A.

Overall in the game, Bodle and McCullough were first in A and B. Vaughn and Taylor were second in A and B. Johnson and Piro were third in A. Sloan and Olson took fourth in A and third in B. Reese and Lane were fifth in A and fourth in B. Anderson and Thompson were first in C.
