BU football to close at William Jewell

Liberty, Mo. -- Baker University's football team will be hoping to finish with a .500 season under first-year coach Mike Grossner today.

BU and longtime rival William Jewell will tangle at 1:30 p.m. at Jewell's stadium in the Heart of America Athletic Conference season finale for both teams.

Baker is hoping to end on a positive note after dropping successive games to Lindenwood, Benedictine and Graceland.

Koelzer honored

Baldwin -- Baker University freshman Jenifer Koelzer has been named NAIA volleyball setter of the week after helping the Wildcats sweep Graceland and Benedictine last week.

Soccer title on line

Baldwin -- Baker and William Jewell will collide for the NAIA District Five men's soccer championship at 1 p.m. today at North Park north of Baldwin High. Baker won the regular-season meeting, 1-0.
