Carl E. Goebel

? Carl E. Goebel, 75, Kansas City, Kan., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was cremated.

He was born Feb. 1, 1929, in Hubbard, Iowa, the son of Edward and Marion Randall Goebel. He lived most of his life in Kansas City.

Mr. Goebel served in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He served on the Kansas City, Kan., Police Department for 6 1/2 years. He owned Carl’s Club at 10th and Central in Kansas City, Kan. He retired as a custodian from the Kansas City, Kan., school board after 21 years.

He married Rosalie Schmitz. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Gregory, Marysville, Calif.; three daughters, Karen Trent, Edwardsville, Karla Wallace, Baldwin, and Denise Breckenridge, Smithville, Mo.; a sister, Carol Smart, Edwardsville; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Joseph A. Butler and Son Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kan.
