To the editor:

I feel that I need to voice my opinion on the closing of the Meat Market. My wife and I have been going to the Meat Market from the first day it opened. We have gotten to know Rich, Charlie and a lot of the staff. I am very angry about the outcome, and I know many others will be as well. I truly hope that the city of Lawrence is happy about running a locally owned business out of business.

I still don’t understand how a group of people can decide what is best for this city. Well, one down and I’m sure more will follow. I would also like to wish Rich and Charlie the best of luck in the future. You guys truly caught the raw end of this whole ordeal. Also, good luck to all the other establishments. I hope you don’t take it as hard as the Meat Market did.
