Vandalism hits GOP headquarters again

Douglas County Republicans got an unwelcome election-night surprise.

They learned about 7 a.m. Wednesday that for the second time in two weeks, someone had vandalized their headquarters at 944 Ky. A fist-sized rock had been thrown through the same window that was shattered by a rock last week.

“Clearly, it is somebody who does not believe we should be able to promote our viewpoint,” party chairman Chris Miller said.

In the first incident, there was a burned flag and a message opposing George W. Bush and John Kerry left with the rock. This time, there was only a rock, Miller said.

He said there were no suspects.
