Robert Henry Walter

? A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert Henry Walter, 87, Basehor, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Basehor. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery.

Mr. Walter died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Lecompton, the son of Joseph and Susanna Grauel Walter.

Mr. Walter served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, serving in Troop Carrier Command from 1944 to 1946. He worked as a general insurance adjuster at Equifax Inc. in Overland Park for 40 years, retiring in 1982. He was a member of the church and Blue Goose Insurance Club, of the Kansas City area. He also coached Little League baseball.

He married Edna Mae Horton on Feb. 1, 1941, in Topeka. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Gary R., San Antonio, Greg H., Tonganoxie, and Glade W., Basehor; a daughter, Marsha J. Racki, Basehor; a brother, Richard, Lecompton; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.
