Cardinals add Cedeno, send Pearce to minors

St. Louis — Cardinals outfielder Roger Cedeno was activated Thursday after being on the 15-day disabled list because of a strained left hamstring. St. Louis, also optioned right-hander Josh Pearce to Triple-A Memphis. Cedeno missed 27 games following his April 10 injury.

Angels’ Glaus to remain in California for therapy

Anaheim, Calif. — Troy Glaus will remain in California to receive therapy for his injured knee and shoulder, instead of rejoining the Anaheim Angels during their road trip. Glaus returned from New York on Thursday. He has a medial collateral sprain of his right knee and a strained right shoulder.
