Edwin C. Crawford

Kansas City, Mo. ? Services for Edwin C. Crawford, 80, Kansas City, Mo., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Floral Hill Chapel in Kansas City, Mo. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Kansas City, Mo.

Mr. Crawford died Thursday, April 29, 2004, at Banner Gardens Hospice House in Mesa, Ariz.

He was born March 8, 1924, in Fairview, Okla., the son of Leroy C. and Maggie Thompson Crawford. He lived in the Kansas City area most of his life.

He was a claims adjudicator for the Missouri State Employment Service before he retired. He was a member of Church of God (Seventh Day), headquartered in Denver.

His wife, Betty Jean Crawford, died in 1980.

Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. Jacobs, Lincoln, Neb.; a son, Edwin L., Lawrence, Kan.; two brothers, Jack, Tucson, Ariz., and Sam, Camdenton; a sister, Sue Maelesek, Independence, Mo.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
