Hail, thunderstorms expected through mid afternoon
Thunderstorms with hail were expected to continue to threaten the Lawrence area through the early afternoon, according to a local meteorologist.
“We could have another round possible this evening after 6,” said Matt Sayers, 6News meteorologist.

The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning briefly for the Baldwin and Ottawa areas south of Lawrence over the noon hour — but canceled it after a few minutes.
The weather service predicts that thunderstorms will continue to be possible through the evening, with large hail the primary hazard.
