The Lone Star 4-H Club met March 8 at Wakarusa Valley School. Members answered roll call by naming the men’s college basketball team they thought would win the NCAA Tournament. Council officers spoke about 4-H camp. Registration is due May 3 for camp, which will be June 26-29. The club will have a spring party April 18. It will feature a potluck dinner and scavenger hunt. Club members are to bring a side dish. The club decided to donate funds to John Berg for his CWF trip. Michael Krumm gave a parliamentary talk about how to amend a motion. Leslie Queen gave a talk about flea and tick season. Grant Metsker and Marla Metsker gave a talk about breeds of swine. The next meeting will be April 12.
