Surprise, Ariz. Tim Salmon went 3-for-4 with a home run, and Troy Glaus hit a mammoth two-run homer as the Anaheim Angels and the Kansas City Royals played an 8-8 tie in 11 innings on Thursday night.
Glaus homered with two outs in the seventh and Salmon aboard to break a 5-5 tie. Glaus' fourth home run this spring came off Royals left-hander Jaime Cerda.
Shane Halter, a former Royal, homered as a pinch hitter in the eight to give the Angels an 8-5 advantage.
The Royals scored three unearned runs in the ninth after reserve second baseman Brian Specht committed an error.
