Villanova pops Virginia
Villanova, Pa. ? Allan Ray scored 23 points, and Randy Foye added 21 to help Villanova beat Virginia, 73-63, in the second round of the NIT on Saturday.
The Wildcats (18-16), making their fifth straight appearance in the NIT, have won four of their last five games and will play the winner of the Rutgers-West Virginia game in the quarterfinals.
Gary Forbes led Virginia (18-13) with 19 points, and Elton Brown scored all 13 of his points in the second half.

Wisconsin-Milwaukee 70
Nampa, Idaho — Aaron Haynes had 20 points and 12 rebounds, and Coby Karl made two free throws with 13 seconds left to lift Boise State past Wisconsin-Milwaukee in the first round. Boise State (23-9) will play Marquette on Tuesday.
