Michael E. Hoyt
Ottawa ? Memorial services for Michael E. Hoyt, 46, Ottawa, will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Cherry Street Wesleyan Church in Ottawa. Private inurnment will be later in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.
Mr. Hoyt died Friday, March 19, 2004, at his home.
He was born March 16, 1958, in Ottawa, the son of Elbert Vernon and Mary Elizabeth (Gardner) Hoyt. He graduated from Ottawa High School in 1977 and was a lifelong Ottawa resident.
Mr. Hoyt was a dietary aide who worked primarily in nursing homes. He worked at Ottawa Retirement Village, Medical Lodge of Gardner and Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.
He married Leslie Fritts on Sept. 3, 1983, in Ottawa. They divorced.
Survivors include a daughter, Tiffany Hoyt; a son, Dylan; and three sisters, Vicki Hoyt, Ottawa, Muriel Beck, Lavaca, Ark., and Dorothy Hoyt-Reed, Lawrence.
Family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church.
The family suggests memorials to the Michael E. Hoyt Memorial Fund, sent in care of Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa 66067.
