Relatives of 2-year-old Logan Prothro, who was hit by a vehicle Thursday on Kentucky Street, said this morning that, despite his injuries, he will be fine.

The boy, from Bennington, Kan., was struck by a Jeep Cherokee shortly before noon Thursday near 13th and Kentucky streets. The boy’s aunt said today that he suffered some internal bleeding, a broken leg and a concussion, but was awake and talking.

The boy, from Bennington, Kan., was hit as he and his grandmother were getting out of their car parked along Kentucky Street.

Police are still investigating the accident.
