Kansas tops K-State in women’s tennis

? Kansas University defeated Kansas State, 5-2, Wednesday at the Washburn Tennis Facility.

Emily Haylock, Christine Skoda, Brittany Brown and Ashley Filberth won for KU as Nos. 2, 3, 4 and 6 singles respectively.

Courtney and Kristen Steinbock won at No. 1 doubles and Skoda and Brown at No. 3 doubles for KU, which improved to 3-8 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12. KSU is 3-6, 0-4.

“We played hard every single match like we needed to,” coach Amy Hall said. “I honestly feel like we are coming around and playing like the type of team that I know we are.”
