Glass misses cut, James still alive

? Lawrence’s Bob Glass was in 111th place Wednesday and missed the cut at the PBA-World Championship.

Lawrence’s Jesse James was in 51st place, but he must move up today to survive today’s cut. The top 80 bowlers will return today to roll two six-game sets. Then the field will be reduced to the top 32 for best-of-seven match play.

Mike DeVaney of Escondido, Calif., shot a 1,322 over six games Wednesday for a 4,156 18-game pinfall to maintain his overall lead after three rounds of qualifying. James had a score of 3,725, while Glass was at 3,567.
