Carl Thomas Annis

Mr. Annis died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kan.

He was born April 23, 1945, in Lawrence, the son of Thomas Newton and Verna Mae (Sumner) Annis. He graduated from Perry High School in 1963.

Mr. Annis worked for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad for 18 years and the Lawrence Fire Department for two years.

He married Brenda Coffman on April 11, 1964, in Perry. They divorced in 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, DeeAnn Lynn Alvarez, Eudora, Dana Dae Annis, Lawrence, and Danette Dawn Gregg, Baldwin; four brothers, Jack J. and Richard Allen, both of Perry, Michael Boyd, Lawrence, and Charles Lee, Topeka; three sisters, Judy Irene Householder, Shawnee, Iva LaDean Jorgenson, Stull, and Mary Jane Easum, Perry; and 12 grandchildren.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will receive them from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assn., sent in care of the funeral home.
