Janice R. Roberts
MCMINNVILLE, ORE. ? Services for Janice R. Roberts, 64, McMinnville, were Tuesday at the Chapel of Macy & Son Funeral Directors in McMinnville. Burial was in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, McMinnville.
Ms. Roberts died Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Oakwood Country Place in McMinnville.
She was born May 7, 1939, in Topeka, Kan., the daughter of Calvin “Bud” and Ola Mae (Baker) Roberts. She graduated from Lecompton (Kan.) High School in 1957. She recently moved to Baldwin, Kan., and then to McMinnville to be near family.
Ms. Roberts helped her husband manage their family farm near Big Springs, Kan., for 22 years until they divorced. She then worked as a head cook for Kansas University residence halls until retiring early for health reasons. She had attended Big Springs Methodist Church, Holiday Hills Church of the Nazarene and Lighthouse Baptist Temple throughout her life.
She married Elmer Zeeb in 1959. They divorced in 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Zeeb, McMinnville, and Richard Zeeb, Hartford City, Ind.; two brothers, Chuck Roberts, Tucson, Ariz., and Rance Roberts, Lecompton; three sisters, Barbara Carver and Debbie Howell, both of Dardanelle, Ark., and Carolyn Roberts, Ottawa, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
