No discrimination

To the editor:

Marriage is a sacrament created by God to unite a man and woman in a sacred union. No one can change it. To assume otherwise is to make a mockery of God and of marriage. The mayor of San Francisco performed gay “marriages” for votes. Gays said that it was discrimination, and it’s not.

It’s not hurting the children adopted by gays, either. Single parents have taken care of children, too. We shouldn’t and can’t sanctify the union between gays to explain it to the children. Gays have motivation to be “married” for legal and financial reasons, as well as social acceptance. They want it both ways, the right to be different and the right to marry.
