Army Pvt. David J. Mitchem has graduated from the cable systems installer-maintainer advanced individual training course at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Ga.

The course is designed to train soldiers to install, operate, and perform unit level maintenance checks and services on cable and wire communications systems, digital multiplexers, remote multiplexing combiners, voltage protection devices, telephones, telephone lines and other associated equipment. Mitchem is the son of David Mitchem, Lawrence.
