Nancy A. Lounsbury

Mrs. Lounsbury died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 19, 1935, in Riley County, the daughter of Lloyd A. and Bernice P. (Spalding) Deniston. She graduated with a degree in occupational therapy in 1957 from Kansas University, where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She was a resident of St. Joseph, Mo., for several years.

Mrs. Lounsbury was a member of First Christian Church. She had been a member of the P.E.O and the Junior League of St. Joseph.

She married John W. Lounsbury on Nov. 23, 1957, in Topeka. He survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Todd Lounsbury, Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Christopher Lounsbury, Leavenworth; and a granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s and Related Disorders Assn., First Christian Church or the Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
