Charles Brice Easum

Services for Charles Brice Easum, 75, Garland, Texas, will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, Lawrence. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Alford-Clarke Post 852.

Mr. Easum died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at his home.

He was born Aug. 9, 1928, in Quincy, the son of Allan and Hildred Easum. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1947.

Mr. Easum served in the Korean War with the U.S. Army 1st Calvary and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of VFW. He was a senior service technician with Konica Business Machines in the Dallas area for 35 years before he retired in 1992.

He married Julia A. Pickett on Oct. 11, 1957, in Horatio, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Paul Allan, of the Dallas area, and Charles Elmer, Evansville, Ind.; a daughter, Mary Ann McDonald, of the Dallas area; three brothers, Allan Jr., Darrel and Roy; and a sister, Nelda Hodson, all of Lawrence; and three grandchildren.
