Chicago Board of Trade

Soybean and corn futures rose sharply Tuesday on the Chicago Board of Trade. Wheat prices also advanced.

Wheat for May delivery rose 2 1/2 cents to $3.70 1/4 a bushel; May corn rose 9 cents to $3.01 1/2 a bushel; May oats rose 3 1/2 cents to $1.59 1/2 a bushel; May soybeans rose 30 cents to $9.47 a bushel.

Beef futures increased while pork futures finished mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle rose .37 cent to 79.42 cents a pound; April feeder cattle rose .62 cent to 85.52 cents a pound; April lean hogs rose 1.10 cent to 62.30 cents a pound.
