Baldwin ? Baker University will begin work this spring on new lighted baseball and softball fields. The $650,000 project is Phase II of a $2.4 million athletics facility improvement plan that eventually will include installation of synthetic turf on the football/soccer field, a new eight-lane track and landscaping.

The baseball field will be named Sauder Field because of a lead gift from Steven and Paula Sauder of Emporia.
