Daisy Jane Somers
Leavenworth ? Services for Daisy Jane Somers, 93, Leavenworth, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Quisenberry Funeral Home in Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Fall Creek Cemetery in Jarbalo.
Mrs. Somers died Monday, March 1, 2004, at Leavenworth Medical Lodge.
She was born Sept. 3, 1910, in Crossville, Tenn., the daughter of John and Dorsie (Webb) Campbell.
Mrs. Somers and her husband owned the Tumble Inn Restaurant in Jarbalo. She also worked at S.S. Kresge for 10 years and was later a manager of Fort Leavenworth school cafeterias for 19 years until she retired in 1979. She was a member of Jarbalo United Methodist Church.
She married Floyd L. Somers on Jan. 10, 1935. He died in 1986.
A daughter, Margaret Somers-Gibbs, died in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Cradic, Leavenworth; a brother, Oliver Campbell, Crossville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends an hour before services Thursday at the funeral home.
