Pittsburg ? Lawrence’s Outlaws won a pair of games in American Legion baseball Saturday at the Pittsburg Woodbat Tournament. The Outlaws (14-6) beat Independence, Kan., 3-0, then roughed up Carl Junction, Mo., 7-2.

Paul Johnson was 2-for-3 with an RBI in the opener for the Outlaws. In the nightcap, Will Falk was 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs for Lawrence.

The Outlaws play at 9:30 a.m. today against Emporia. If they win or lose by less than 10 runs, the Outlaws will play in the tournament championship at 4:30 p.m.
