Warren H. Cantrell

Services for Warren H. Cantrell, 83, Lawrence, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Private burial will follow in Vinland Cemetery.

Mr. Cantrell died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at his home.

He was born Jan. 3, 1921, in Dill City, Okla., the son of Samuel J. and Ruby Vern Huff Cantrell.

Mr. Cantrell retired as captain in the U.S. Air Corps in 1945 after serving in World War II. He then worked for Trans World Airlines from 1951 until he retired in 1981. He was a member of Community Bible Church in Eudora.

His wife, Doris M. Smith, survives of the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Robin Miller, Baldwin; a son, Bradley Wilson Cantrell, Baldwin; a sister, Dori Workman, Greeley, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, where family will receive them from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

The family suggests memorials to Lawrence Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit, sent in care of the funeral home.
