Marie Pearl Adamson Haas

Services for Marie Pearl Adamson Haas, 83, Ottawa, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Dengel & Son Mortuary in Ottawa. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery, Ottawa.

Mrs. Haas died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in Ottawa.

She was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Emporia, the daughter of Fred and Amy Harris Adamson. She moved with her family in 1936 to Ottawa, where she graduated from Ottawa High School in 1938. She moved to Osawatomie then Topeka and to Kansas City, Mo., in 1943.

Mrs. Haas was a member of Leawood Baptist Church and past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star, Orient Chapter 491, in Kansas City, Mo.

She married Clifton Lloyd Haas on Sept. 17, 1939, in Ottawa. He died Jan. 9, 1996.

A son, Gene Norman Haas, also died earlier.

Survivors include two sons, Clifton Lee Haas, Overland Park, and Carl Raymond Haas, Wichita; a sister, Twilla Jean Jameson, Ottawa; two brothers, Fredrick Warren Adamson and Hal Owen Adamson, both of Ottawa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the mortuary. Family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Mo.

The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assn. or Leawood Baptist Church, sent in care of the mortuary, 235 S. Hickory, Ottawa 66067.
