Lathrom services

Services for Robert Lee Lathrom, 51, rural Oskaloosa, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Lawrence Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Wildhorse Cemetery near McLouth.

Mr. Lathrom died Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in Lawrence.

He was born Aug. 5, 1952, in Salinas, Calif., the son of Loman H. and Estalene L. Perkins Lathrom. He moved with his family to Lawrence as a young child.

Mr. Lathrom worked for Schendel Pest Control Service as a supervisor and termite technician for more than 20 years. He had previously worked for Kansas Color Press. He attended North Lawrence Christian Church.

Survivors include his parents, Lawrence; his wife, Sandy Sue Poeverlein-Lathrom, of the home; his ex-wife, Linda Hamilton, Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Rebecca Foster, Lawrence, and Natasha Lathrom, of the home; a brother, Gary, Lawrence; two sisters, Brenda Curtiss, Chubbuck, Idaho, and Linda Zook, Lawrence; and two granddaughters.

Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the Robert Lathrom Memorial Fund, sent in care of the funeral home.
