J. Irene Johnson

Mrs. Johnson died Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 7, 1905, in Beaver Crossing, Neb., the daughter of George David and Louisa Christ Heid. She lived in Lawrence from 1968 to 1973 and returned in 1986.

Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Catholic Church.

She married Charles H. Johnson in Marysville. He died in May of 1993.

Survivors include two daughters, Dottie Henkel, Lawrence, and Kay Fowler, Wichita; three granddaughters; three great-granddaughters; and a great-great-granddaughter.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn., sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
