John Thomas Beasley

Mr. Beasley died Monday, June 7, 2004, at his home.

He was born June 13, 1957, in Montgomery, Ala., the son of John William and Mary Ann Wetzel Beasley. He graduated from a drafting school in Denver.

Mr. Beasley was disabled but had formerly been a steel fabricator in Wichita, Florida and Oklahoma. He had served in the Coast Guard in Anchorage, Alaska, and Seattle. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.

He married Robin Lynn Knichel on Aug. 23, 1992, in Sioux City, Iowa. She died in April 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Alicia Beasley; his mother and stepfather, Mary Ann and Norman Puckett, Lawrence; and a brother, Tony Wetzel, Sumner, Wash.

Family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to the John Beasley Memorial Fund, sent in care of the mortuary.
