Leroy J. Thomas, Sr.

Mr. Thomas died Friday, June 4, 2004, in Baldwin. Cremation is planned.

He was born May 23, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo.

He attended First Church of the Nazarene in Lawrence.

Mr. Thomas moved in April 2003 from West Palm Beach, Fla., to be with his caregiver and friend, Evelyn Horsley, after a long illness. She survives.

Other survivors include a son, Leroy J. Jr., Lexington, Okla.; and a grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home.
