To the editor,
I read with interest in the Sunday Journal-World that construction crews were now on their 295th day of repairing roughly one-half mile of road on west Sixth Street. As I recall, the Empire State Building was completed in a little over a year’s time.
There is a remedy for preventing this sort of thing from happening again: The next time the city considers bids on street repair similar to this, they should not give the bid to the same contractor.
