Maxwell services

Graveside services for Marie Evelyn Maxwell, 100, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery.

Ms. Maxwell died on Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born Nov. 24, 1903, in Vandalia, Mo., the daughter of Leslie and Della Nation Williams. She worked for Harzfelds in Kansas City for 27 years and retired as a buyer in 1973.

Survivors include a daughter, Mayme Lou Vail, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, David Williams, New Castle, Wyo.; three granddaughters, 13 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her children Eunice Sanderson and James Maxwell, as well as three grandchildren.
