The positions of two candidates for the Kansas 3rd District Senate race were inaccurately reported in a story in Thursday’s Lawrence & State section.

Roger Pine, a Republican candidate, opposes a property tax increase for schools, but would favor other forms of tax increases, if new revenues are required for education funding.

Chuck Quinn, another Republican candidate, favors a wholesale tax on all goods except Kansas-grown grain.
