Kansas Relays meet director Tim Weaver has been selected as head manager of the U.S. men’s track and field team at the Team Athletics Challenge in Munich, Germany.

The Aug. 8 meet will feature the best athletes from the United States, Germany and France. It serves as the final tune-up for the U.S. Olympic team before the Athens Games, which are scheduled to begin Aug. 16.

Weaver was also manager of the men’s team that won the 2003 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham, England.
