Eudora sewer project cleared for construction

Eudora can go ahead and build its estimated $1.5 million sewer line and pump station.

Douglas County commissioners approved a permit Wednesday that clears the way for the city to make improvements to its sewer system.

The new interceptor line would run for 0.7 miles along the eastern edge of town, providing enough sewer capacity to accommodate new homes as the city grows, said Roland Hauck, project manager.

Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year, Hauck said.
