BARTLESVILLE, OKLA. ? Taylor Martin smashed two home runs, lifting the Lawrence Raiders to an 11-3 pounding of Blue Valley West in pool play Friday at the Bartlesville American Legion baseball tournament.

Martin, the Raiders’ first baseman, slammed a two-run homer in the second and a three-run shot in the sixth in a game shortened to six innings by the run rule.

Left-fielder Brett Lisher had three hits, and Tyler Blankenship and Dominick Harrell each had two hits for the Raiders (19-8). Blankenship also added 2 RBIs.

Now 2-0 in pool play, the Raiders will square off against Springfield, Mo., Hillcrest at 4 p.m. today.

The results of today’s games will determine pairings for Sunday’s final.
