The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kim Prather, Linwood, and Rachel McSwain, Lawrence.

She is a 1997 Lawrence High School graduate. She is working as an area supervisor for Kohl’s Department store in Lawrence.

The future groom is the son of John Allen, Coweta, Okla., and Marjorie Allen, Norton.

He is a 1996 graduate of Norton Community High School and a 2001 graduate of Kansas University. He is an accountant for McBride, Lock and Associates in Kansas City, Mo.

The couple plan a May 28, 2005, wedding in Lawrence.

Noll-Berry

Ron and Cherrie Noll, Oskaloosa, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lindsay Noll, to Matt Berry, son of Jeff Berry, Emporia, and Kim Berry, Henderson, Nev.

The future bride is an Oskaloosa High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Emporia State University. She is a teacher at Kingman Elementary School.

The future groom is an Emporia High School graduate. He received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Emporia State University. He is employed by the mental health association in Wichita.

The couple plan a July 31 wedding at First United Methodist Church in Emporia.

Ward-Ritzman

Walter and Darlene Ward, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Michele Lynn Ward, Lawrence, to Paul Thomas Ritzman, Lawrence, son of Walter Ritzman, Estes Park, Colo., and the late Marlene Ritzman.

The bride-to-be is a 1985 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a degree in dental hygiene from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park. She is employed at Legends Drive Dental Center.

The future groom is a 1979 graduate of Larned High School. He owns Ritzman’s Lawn Care.

The couple plan an Aug. 21 wedding at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lawrence.

Reed-Feindel

Hannah Reed and Shawn Feindel, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dan and Karen Reed, Lawrence. She is a 2001 graduate of Lawrence High School. She attends Baker University. She is an evidence clerk at the Lawrence Police Department.

The future groom is the son of Frank and Virginia Feindel, Olathe. He is an Olathe South High School graduate. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science at Kansas University.

The couple plan an Aug. 14 wedding at First Church of Nazarene in Lawrence.

Gibbon-Wilson

Kenneth and Lucinda Gibbon, Topeka, and Todd and Laurie Wilson, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their children Tabitha Gibbon and Isaac Wilson, both of Lawrence.

The bride-to-be is a Free State High School graduate. She attended Pittsburg State University for two years. She is transferring to Washburn University to pursue a degree in nursing.

The future groom is a Free State High School graduate. He attends Johnson County Community College and is an Army reservist. He works for Fantini Construction Co.

The couple plan a summer 2005 wedding.

Garrett-Kneebone

Jacque Garrett and Kelly Kneebone, both of Lawrence, announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Terry Bauer, Larned. Her grandparents are Roy and Georgia Bauer, Pawnee Rock, and Virginia Keast, Larned. Her great-grandmother is Katie Bauer, Great Bend. She is a 1996 graduate of Larned High School. She attended Johnson County Community College and Kansas University.

The future groom is the son of Ken and Karla Kneebone, Neodesha. His grandmother is Marie Kneebone, Neodesha. He is a 1987 graduate of Neodesha High School. He received bachelor’s degrees in environmental science and business from KU.

The couple plan an Oct. 2 wedding at the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Independence, Kan.

Helms-Smith

Dr. Ronald Helms and Margo Helms, both of Greensboro, N.C., and Frank and Jeanne Smith, Tonganoxie, announce the engagement of their children, Tracey Michelle Helms, Greensboro, N.C., and Jordan Douglas Smith, Tonganoxie.

The future bride is a 2000 graduate of Ragsdale High School, Greensboro, N.C. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in chemistry at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C. She is employed by the Chiropractic Experience in Lawrence.

The future groom is a 2000 graduate of Tonganoxie High School. He earned an associate’s degree at Johnson County Community College and is pursuing a doctorate in pharmacy at Kansas University. He is employed by Johnson County Community College and Osco pharmacy in Overland Park.
