The Eudora High School Booster Club is playing host to a reception for Joe Hanna, who has been a teacher and coach at the school for 36 years. The reception will be from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. July 10 at Simple Simon’s Pizza, 10 E. Ninth St. in Eudora. Any and all former or current students or alumni are invited to attend. • The Hadl family reunion will be from noon to 4 p.m. July 11 at the Fellowship Hall in Trinity Lutheran Church, 1245 N.H. Attendees are asked to bring a meat dish and/or salad and dessert. They should also bring their own table service. Drinks will be provided.
• Jaime Thompson, Baldwin, received an associate’s degree from Johnson County Community College. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and a dean’s honor graduate. She earned a 3.73 cumulative grade-point average. She plans to attend Baker University’s School of Nursing in the fall. She is the daughter of Dave and Jody Schaecher, Baldwin.
• Paul Epp, Marona Graham-Bailey and Bria DeSalvo, all of Lawrence, made the dean’s list at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tenn.
• Dulce Shultz, Lawrence, received a full-tuition, room and board scholarship to attend The Marie Walsh Sharpe Art Foundation 2004 Summer Seminar program in Colorado Springs, Colo. Dulce attended Session 1 June 6-19. The program offers an intensive visual art studio program for gifted high school juniors. Shultz is a student at Free State High School.
