Mark Burnett, Lawrence, and Courtenay DeHoff, Tonganoxie, will exhibit Angus cattle at the 2004 National Junior Angus Show July 12-17 at the American Royal Complex in Kansas City, Mo. Burnett and DeHoff are junior members of the American Angus Assn.

• Henry Schimke, Lawrence, made the dean’s list at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Neb., by receiving at least a 3.6 grade-point average during the 2004 spring semester.
• R. Jisung Park, son of Choon and Jinyoung Park, of Lawrence, made the honor roll for the 2004 spring term at Phillips Academy, Andover, Mass.
• Barton County Community College recently announced its summer, fall and spring graduates who completed their associate’s degree in 2003-2004. Area students who received an associate’s degree were: Kristen Lindsley, Lauren Phlegar, Angela White and Jonathan Weygint, Lawrence, and Karmel Powers, Overbrook.
• Christy Wheeler, Lawrence, made the spring 2004 dean’s list at William Jewell College by earning at least a 3.5 grade-point average. She is the daughter of Wendy and Dale Wheeler.
• Highland Community College announces the following area students graduated during commencement exercises May 8: Jessica Gerard and Casey Rahmeier, Lawrence; Shawn Kincaid, Perry; Deirra Wassmer, Ozawkie; and Levi Schultz, Oskaloosa.
• Eudora High School graduates Rachelle Ziesenis and Michael Rene Benoit graduated from Johnson County Community College’s nursing program.

While attending JCCC, Ziesenis was accepted into the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was named to the dean’s honor roll. She will be employed at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan., as a staff nurse on the cardiac care unit. Ziesenis is the daughter of Rose Steffey and Richard Ziesenis, both of Eudora.

While attending JCCC, Benoit was accepted into Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta Honor societies. She also was a student senator and was named to the president’s and dean’s list honor rolls. She will be employed at Shawnee Mission Medical Center on the medical surgical/urology unit. Benoit is the daughter of Vickie Marmon, Eudora, and Lena and Mark Trumbly, Fritch, Texas. She is married to William Benoit, Eudora.
