The bride is the daughter of Larry Oelschlaeger, Lawrence, and Sandy and Brett Groene, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Macario Leon Uriarte and Micaela Fuentes de Leon, Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico.
Bridesmaids were Molly Groene, Olivia Leon, Brooke Disney and Beth DaSilva. Groomsmen were Ashley Oelschlaeger and Sergio Cuen Leon. Interpreter was Veronica Leon. Reader was Brett Groene. The bride is a Lawrence High School graduate. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in geography, Latin American studies and Spanish from Kansas University. She is employed by Legal Aid of Western Missouri as project director of Migrant Farmworkers Project.
The groom is a graduate of CBATIS No. 37 in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering at Instituto Tecnologico de Sonora in Ciudad Obregon. He received a master's degree in mechanical engineering and computer science from KU. He is a systems analyst with ALTEC at KU.
