Topeka ? Mark Randtke scored 20 points, but it wasn’t enough for Veritas Christian School to avoid dropping its fifth straight boys basketball game.

Topeka Cair Paravel scored 21 points in the first quarter and 27 in the fourth to beat Veritas, 78-45, Friday night at Cair Paravel.

“I feel a lot better about how we played tonight,” Veritas coach Doug Bennett said. “Our intensity was there, and that made me feel real good about the team and the effort.”

Veritas dropped to 2-8.
