To the editor:
Lawrence Community Theatre would like to extend an enormous thank you to the Lawrence fire department for their work on Dec. 29. The department’s swift response and quick action not only limited the fire damage, but literally saved the theater structure itself. In addition, the fire department personnel exhibited a courteous, professional approach which kept us informed during the entire evening. Our community is very fortunate to have such skilled and considerate men and women.
