Tonganoxie and Basehor-Linwood school districts won’t have class on Tuesday, thanks to icy road conditions.

The two districts had teacher in-service today. Each of the school districts was to return to class from winter break on Tuesday. But school offficials said the arctic blast that hit the area made them decide to wait at least one more day.

Tonganoxie Supt. Richard Erickson said he called the county shop and they told him it would be better to cancel because the roads are still too icy.
