Tucker solid for UT
Austin, Texas ? A near-perfect night from freshman P.J. Tucker kept No. 19 Texas perfect at home this season.
Tucker shook off foul trouble that limited him to 5 minutes in the first half Friday, leading the Longhorns to a 99-79 victory over Texas-Arlington. He made up for lost time with 6-of-7 shooting from the field and 10-of-11 from the free-throw line.
“You look at his line, not a bad night,” coach Rick Barnes said.
Kenny Taylor added 19 points for the Longhorns (7-2), hitting five three-pointers as Texas ran its home winning streak to 22 games.
