William Clark and Corey Smith

Michael E. and Marcia C. Smith, Lawrence, announce the engagement of their daughter, Corey Christine Smith, Lawrence, to William Thompson Clark, Atlanta.

The future bride graduated in 1999 from Lawrence High School and in 2003 from Kansas University. She works for the KU Athletic Corp. and plans to pursue a career in journalism.

The future groom is the son of William F. and Sandra Clark, Atlanta. He graduated in 1999 from Marist School in Atlanta. He received an undergraduate degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree from KU, both in December 2003. He is game day operations intern for the Kansas City Knights and plans to pursue a career in sports management.

The couple plan a May 21, 2004, wedding at Trinity Episcopal Church.
