Club news

  • The Lawrence Music Club plans a Founder’s Day observance Thursday at the home of Eleanor Allen, 1517 Fountain Drive. The program, “Crusade for Strings,” will begin at 1:15 p.m. Students from the Suzuki Talent Education Studios of Eleanor Allen and Julie Holmberg will perform. Hostesses are Pat Blair, Isabelle Schaake, Mary Boyden and Sue Kwak.
  • The Betty Washington chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution met Dec. 20 at the home of regent Polly Reed. After a brief business meeting, members enjoyed lunch and a white elephant gift exchange.

The next meeting will be Feb. 21 in the Gallery Room at the Lawrence Public Library. Heirloom or special valentines will be shared.
